Name: Daniel Le Domas Door: Doorpass, Dominant on TDMCanon: Ready or Not Canon Point: After he dies, RIP Age: 36 Appearance: Adam Brody with a beard. Dark hair, brown eyes, scruffy looking. Tall, dark, and old hollywood handsome. Looks constantly tired and miserable, it's almost a talent of his. Pretty lanky, long arms and legs and torso, lean but not particularly muscular. Usually dressed well, and expensively. Always wearing his wedding ring. History: ❝ It's not too late to flee, you know. You don't belong in this family. I mean that as a compliment. ❞Personality: NEGATIVE TRAITS.
1. — COMPLACENCY. Daniel has a conscience; he knows right from wrong. He clearly shows regret and dislike of the horrible things his family expects of him. However, that doesn't stop him from doing those things, or perhaps more accurately, standing by as it happens. He participates, or at least is present for, the game that demands they hunt down and sacrifice the newest addition to his family. He helps to throw dead maids in a cellar and is bodily present on an errand to turn on the cameras in attempts to find Grace. He also makes little effort to talk the others out of it or argue for an alternative. The one time he does suggest it (admittedly callously) and his father reacts negatively, Daniel is mollified, silenced, and goes right back to toeing the line. He even helps to bring Grace back to the manor and states that he can't choose her over family. Daniel has chosen his family his entire life, no matter how much he dislikes them and how they live or how much it eats him up inside. Even if he knows how terrible they all are, he remained despite a moral rejection of their behavior. He is complicit in their cruelty by his complacency.
2. — CRUELTY. He is the most passive of all the Le Domas, however, Daniel can still be quite cruel. For example, he calls his wife a gold-digging whore when she's in earshot, implies his family doesn't have souls when his entire family is present (I mean, he's not totally wrong, but that's still a little rude), and makes rather heartless jibes about the maids (human beings that matter) as they all slowly die. He makes inappropriate jokes and seems to like making people uncomfortable, as evidenced by hitting on his brother's fiancée before they are married. Daniel has been in a position of power and takes advantage of it, even if he's not above feeling guilty about it.
3. — SELF HATRED. Daniel has a very low opinion of himself, openly claiming to be the family fuck-up as a rather self-deprecating joke. Daniel sees himself as inferior and hates himself for his complicit behavior in his family's legacy. When his wife calls him out for being pathetic, Daniel agrees, and later in the movie tells Grace that he is too weak when she begs for his help. Daniel thinks very little of himself and instead puts Alex on a pedestal, claiming Alex is the better brother who could have saved Grace.
POSITIVE TRAITS. 1. — LOYALTY. Even when given plenty of reasons not to be, Daniel is incredibly loyal. He is loyal to his family, choosing to remain with them and participate in their traditions despite disliking them. Where Alex chose to run away, Daniel remained, however bitterly, even in a situation where he is not treated particularly well. Even above his loyalty to his family at large, Daniel is incredibly loyal to his little brother and loves him deeply. Deeply enough to turn against the rest of his family, promise to help Grace in the security room, and actually go through with it by poisoning his entire family to try and buy her time. Powers and Abilities: Daniel doesn't technically have any powers, he's just a normal human. However, he is cursed by Satan, all of his family is. Cursed to great wealth and prosperity, success to a supernatural degree. We're talking billionaires, own multiple professional sports teams kinda success. He has no control over this, things just go well for his family, and to keep them going well the Le Domas sacrifice goats and murder newlyweds if a scary box pulls the card Hide and Seek after each new introduction to the family. What would that look like in game? I don't really know if it would look any different than any other Dominant, to be honest. It's fine if this needs to be "nerfed", Daniel will probably still see his existence as tainted by Le Bail's influence, especially since he ended up in the upper echelon of Duplicity without doing anything to deserve it. Other than that, just a normal human dude. Manages to look great in a bowtie, which I feel is a superpower. Drinks like a fish and somehow hasn't died of liver failure, which is also a kind of superpower.
